2008彌陀虱目魚文化節，訂10月18日、19日(六、日)正式登場，一連
舉行兩天，推出新鮮美味的虱目魚大餐、虱目魚香腸、魚丸湯。
縣長楊秋興歡迎大家一起來參與，享受難得的虱目魚美食饗宴。
彌陀鄉虱目魚文化節已邁入第10屆。於10月18日、19日上午10點在
彌陀漁會廣場隆重登場，10月14日在縣府舉行記者會，縣長楊秋興、
鄉長張文山、農會總幹事謝榮正、漁會總幹事蔡金河、鄉代表孫澄彥
